I have installed INS for my client on an XP workstation using the Dialogic D/4 PCI-U card with 4 ports. The XP workstation is a member of a small Windows Domain. It took a lot to get the D/4 configured properly. The only other process running on the machine is a FileMaker database used to verify user input. I use a .Net program with simple text files as intermediary. The logic has been holding up fine, even with multiple simultaneous callers.
The intention is that this process run 24/7 unattended.
The problem is that periodically INS gets into a mode where it will pick up the call but not respond. The user hears nothing. The Error Log shows "Watchdog error, action cancelled"
If I quit and restart the Message Server, it responds normally again until the next episode. Typical survival time is two to three days.
Would I be well advised to move this to the Windows Server or is there something simpler that can be done?
