I now understand the pattern. Our system allows callers to make several reports in a row. This means that some of them are on the line more than 15 minutes. The default Watchdog timeout setting is 900 seconds = 15 minutes. The reset function does not work on my Digilogic DR4-PCIU card or driver so playback of audio files stops working.
I could just set the watchdog timeout higher. However, since the timeout is catastrophic I would prefer not to have watchdog timeout work at all. Please advise.
