The CreditCard.vsc is a "bad" script as it does not implement any timeout handling, and just loops arround in the event of a timeout.
Normally you would need to divert for a FAIL (Timeout) event to the hang-up cell.
IE if you have a look at the C:\MsgServer\SampleScripts\VoiceScripts\VoiceMail\VoiceMail.vsc sample you will see that in the GetPW cell the user has 10 s to enter a value, otherwise the call is cancelled.

BUT...

Despite this the modem should detect that the caller has hung up and stop the execution of the script. If it does not I guess that you are using an outdated modem driver. May I recommend you to downlad the latest driver for your modem from the manufacturers web site.
