MSCS. Script Test OK in simulation, Phone hears beep only.

I am evaluating the Message Server Comm Suite (5.2.4).
I wrote/modified a voicemail script.

I test the script in the Message Center via the call simulator and it functions properly.
I run the script, call the server, and only hear a default beep and NOT the intended announcement file?
The system log indicates that it attempted to play the correct file, however it was not heard via the telephone handset
and appears to play a default system beep.

Other details:

I have US Robotics Speakerphone Modem with external mic and speaker jacks.
I have a PCI Sound card
(line in, mic, out 2, out 1)
Win XP Pro.

While in test mode, my annoucement messages are played through the sound card via out 1.
And all is well.

Running script at the server.

I have tried several variations of connecting the sound card to the modem, etc.

Where is the system beep played from?
How come I can hear the system beep, BUT not the annoucements of vm box greetings?

I have read through the FAQ's and didnt find anything on this issue.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you
