Re: API for MSCS

Simon,

At present there is no API for MSCS.
It is however possible to interact with our application through our command
line interface or through DDE.
For sending messages (SMS, Fax, etc) you may submit the messages through our
SendMsg command line utility.
To react on values in a DB you may use CheckIt that uses DDE to get values
from an external application and submits a message if certain criteria are
met.
For the IVR you can export the data entered by the caller, again using DDE
to MsAccess/Excel etc and you may call external applications with the
parameters entered by the caller as command line.
For more advanced interaction you may also read/write directly to our DB.
IE for sending messages you would write to the messages.db and to read
errors you can read the errors.db
If you have a look at the provided ImportExportContacts.xls sample you will
get a sample of how to edit our contacts.db from Visual Basic.

If all this is not enough we may consider implementing an API for you, but
we would prefer you to use the above interfaces first as an API would
require us a considerable development that will probably be a one-off
effort.

Sincerely,

Marc Wanderer
