Colin,

>HFC 56K PCI Modem
Which modem maker is this exactly ?
There is the Conexant HFC modem but also SUPRA uses this chipset.
As far as I know the HFC is just the chipset. There is a generic driver from Rockwell, but I am pretty sure this one will not work. You need one that also supports the voice features and installs a Unimodem audio driver.
To check if your system has a MODEM WAVE driver installed, follow these steps:

1. Open the Windows Control Panel
2. Double click on the Multimedia Icon
3. Select the Advanced TAB
4. Click on the + next to Audio Devices

There you should see an entry like "ROCKWELL half-duplex..."
The HFC sells for less than 20 A$, so I am not sure if you will be able to make this work. For Win2000 we recommend the U.S. Robotic voice modems.
In any case you need to get the right driver, that states that it supports voice features.

I have not found anything on this modem.

No just the right modem driver (That comes with an appropriate WAV audio driver...)
