dear marc,
I had a problem with the software,
As you said i had installed ircom virual port program, the list of modem which XP is showing is 1)nokia 8xxx series com4
2)nokia 8xxx series #2 com4
In the prefrences menu ,sms/pager i had pointed nokia 8xxx series and in the outgoing SMS, i had pointed direct to com4, when SMS/Pager port is tested ,it displays the messege Port initialization successful, but in the outgoing sms menu,when it is checked it shows SMS channel , error 5000
and when the messege server is started it sometimes sends the messege and thus money is deducted from the AIrTEl UP west,India but the sms is not received on the receiving mobile. Further more Messege server displays the messege,No compatible mobile phone connected.
Why this is so,why the modem list is showing two modems , i had sometimes installed the oringinal nokia 8210 modem driver,but it is also not working.Plz reply me quickly
