Some .gif files are not supported by MSCS..

I have .gif files on my disk.MSCS takes those files as picture messages & send them..but as i modify that .gif file according to my specification using Nokia PC Suite or using Cellular Essentials & after modifing as i try to send that .gif file as picture message,MSCS gets hang & i have to restart my message server.
Can u help me out?
