anonymous SMS reply?

my SMS on demand system is working charmingly, but only replies to those numbers who already exist in my contacts list. replies sent to numbers that are not in my contacts list generates the error:
"Contact Not Found : +61XXXXXXXXXX"

is there anyway to reply to anyone regardless of whether they exist in the contacts list or not?
