The "TAPI statement" is unfortunately all we can hold onto. We used TAPI to get rid of the manufacture specific implementations and developpment requirements. We have tested many TAPI voice modems, Dialogic boards, PhoneRider boards, Brooktrout boards, etc.
All of them worked (sometimes it was necessary to know how to set them up though), so if Eicon claims to be 100% compliant then their boards should work too... as easy as that.
We do not have an Eicon board to test with, therefore we can not realy play arround with the different settings and advice.
