Error message when running sample script Citect1.vsc

My company has Citect (up and running) and when I try to run your Citect1.vsc script to test/learn how the DDE works I get an error message. Below is an excerpt from the logfile....


After the error message, Message Server hangs and I have to quit and restart before it will respond. What am I doing incorrectly?
