We have note yet fully tested SP2 but heard some "bad things" about it. Apparently it blocks a whole bunch of features of Windows to make it more secure. On the other hand we have also not had any other user complaining about XP/SP2 and DDE... perhaps yet.
I'll need to set up a test environment and test it myself.
In the mean time please make sure to install all hotfixes for SP2 as those "undo" some of the restrictions.
