I used your VBS and the RV returned the value correctly.
No idea about VBS versions, we just use it... nothing else.
My guess is that there is something "wrong" with your PC (XP, SP2, other...), so if you can please try to install MSCS on a different PC (if possible without SP2) and check this out. At least then we understand where the problem is.
The funny thing is that we had no other customer complaining about anything so far... and this would be the case if XP SP2 would be a problem.
