Unable to new add voice files

Recorded a new voice file using voice recorder.
Voice recorder plays it back ok. Win Media plays back file ok.
Add new info to Assorted.cfg:
"GREETING"=greeting

Testing with New->Message.
Enter "greeting" in the text field. Click send.
The call is placed. Answer phone, nothing is played.

Replace Greeting in cfg file:
"GREETING"=alarm ( Alarm.wav supplied with product)
Run test again, answer phone and the alarm.wav is played.

Whats the trick to get MsgCenter to play any new wave file? And yes the new wave file is located in the correct directory, or should I say the same directory as the Alarm.wav is located.
