FSMSC working with Protocol1


Hi all,

this question is extremely important and critical for me. please answer if you have an idea about it.

I wanna know : [b]does any body know/have seen any thing about sending sms through PSTN (phone line) with the standard computer modem? ( using Protocol 1 as the protocol) [/b]

In my country the fixed line sms is available but the FSMSC is compatible with Protocol 1.
I don't know what TAP or UCP is, but what ever I have seen till now about my question, used TAP / UCP to connect to a SMSC. I don't understand how they are working neither.

I really need any helps from you.
