sms-it with GSM modem

My company has purchased sms-it. In the pas we used it through a dial-up modem but now we would like to use sms-it on direct link mode with a GSM modem (Audiotel) under windows XP.
This modem is installed as Windows standard modem 9600 on port COM2.
I have an error message when sms-it sent the folowwing at command : AT+CMMS=1,OK,,,4000

Could you help me to solve this issue ?
And could you tell me if sms-it can work directly with a GSM modem.
