Thank you for your response! I did put in a delay and that did effectively stop the fail error, but did not really help the timing at all. 2 messages per minute seems to be the max. I'm concerned with that since I will also be using the same phone for incoming as well and this behavior is unpredictable. I fear a system crash when traffic reaches a certain threshold.

Thank you, you have at least verified that this problem is common, and that helps. I may have to look into another solution. Do you believe this modem would work? It is branded to my local Canadian service provider, but do you think I could get it to work with a SIM with a text plan? Even if the modem is exclusively sold with data plans?
