Ehhh ...
It does not specifically mention that it supports the AT command set following the GSM standard (AT command set based on V.25ter and GSM 07.05 & 07.07.).

Have a look at http://www.gprsmodems.co.uk/acatalog/Online_Catalogue_Wavecom_GSM_GPRS_Modems_100.html, those GSM modems work quite well with SMS-it.
Even if you can not use them, it shows you at least what to look for.
