How do you send the message ? Via modem or a direct link ?
It looks to me as if you were using a direct link (ev through IR), but the port you have selected does not exist or is used by another process.
Just make sure that the mobile phone entry selected under System->Settings points to either a correct mobile phone driver or the correct COM port.
