Despite the danger that this answer may be incorrect or unidentified again....

If you are able to access the card through Hyperterminal I can not see any reason why you should not be able to access it with SMS-it.
How do you access the card from HT? Through the driver or through a COM port?
Can you issue the AT command through Hyperterminal ?
