"Error in writing to registry"

Thank you for supplying my registration string, however I am having problems
with this. Each time I attempt to enter this string into the relevant area,
I get an error message of "Error in writing to registry". Could you please
assist me with this? We have some restrictions of our computers, may this be
what is causing this?
