Motorola T720 Compatability

I havve a Motorola T720, and I also have a USB data cable, but I can not get SMT-It to see the phone. When I try to send a message, I got this message,

[2003/09/09 02:52:31.166] Serial port exception : EDivByZero
[2003/09/09 02:52:31.166] Can not initialize COM port

can someone help me ?
