When SMS-it reports "Sent" then it has received the ACK from the mobile, hence was able to transmit the message to the mobile for sending. If the destination mobile does not receive it, the I guess that there may be a problem with the phone number or its format. What format did you use ? The international format (IE +447xxxx for the UK) works best.
