Great little phone the T68 isn't it (I just got one myself :-)
When you have installed the IR modem go to "System->Control panel->modem" and look for the "Ericsson T68 IR modem" entry. There the system will tell you to what virtuel COM port the modem is attached to. Then use this setting in SMS-it under System->Settings.
If you use Win2000 or WinXP you may need to download a patch from MS first, see the help file for more information...)
