Hi,
I am trying to send sms from SQL server 2000 by using the xp_cmdshell. When i pass the commands using the command line it works fine without any problem. The query i used in SQL is like this..

Exec xp_cmdshell 'c:\Progra~1\sms-it\sms-it.exe SMST John "message goes here" '

Now i want to know whether the sms has been sent or failed.. when i check from the interface in your software i can see the status of messages.. how can i retrieve those information through sql.. is it possible? or is there any way to check the return value after executing that command from SQL sever?
