Problems with DDE from msgserver

Im having problems sending an getting values
from excel and access.
I have spanish versions of XP o.s. and office XP
When i try to get or send a value i get
"Access violation at address 004f7604 in module MSGSRVR.EXE read of address 000030" on the script
module that has the dde refence, and it just stops there.
I have used your example scripts and very simple ones i made, and i have excel an access open when i test them.
I have tested with Checkit and it works getting values from excel( i had to change the item from R1C1 to the equivalent spanish L1C1 ).
Please advice
