Hamish,

We did some tests with the Microsoft TTS SAPI but were disapointed with the sound quality (Especially when playing through a modem).
Hence we still recommend to use our own "limited" speech engine (See the help file under "Voice Engine"). If you know the words your system has to say in advance, you can save voice files for every string. This allows you to use a "natural" voice recording.
