errors on installation

hi!

i was installing the MSCS (evaluation) on my win XP machine and during the installation it seems that the process died. NO error message and nothing to say it was complete. When i looked in the start menu | all programs the components were not there. when i checked the install directory it seems that they are installed. so i ran the message MSGcenter and i got 2 dialogue boxes. Both message center error messages. 1.class not registered and 2. access violation at address 0040BD8A in module 'msgcenter.exe'. Read of address 000002F8.

any idea what i can do to fix it?
