INS SMS Clickatell

I am trying to get INS to send SMS messages via Clickatell over the Internet. I am having a heck of a time. The instructions in the manual don't seem to match what's availble as far as popups, etc. Maybe you can point me in the right direction.

The Error Log says: "Get URL failed for http://api.clickatell.com/http/sendmsg status: 404 Reason: can't resolve hostname to IP address." Then on the next line it says "Failed to open channel"

The URL above appears to be incomplete from reading info on Clickatell's web site. If I try manually to get the URL by entering "http://api.clickatell.com/http/sendmsg" from Internet Explorer I get ERR: 001 Authentication failed" not unable to resolve to an IP address. So, I know that my DNS is working OK.

If I follow the directions in the Clickatell API guide on their website and enter on the URL line: "http://api.clickatell.com/http/sendmsg?user=nwinblad&password=*******&api_id=111222&to=19259639***&text=Meet+me+outside" I also get an authentication error (*** inserted for privacy). This leads me to wonder if the api_id of 111222 is correct?

In INS I have the Communication tab in Preferences set to SMS: Outgoing SMS through Internet, and SMS central set to (Internet) Clickatell.

Under the SMS tab I have the Sender ID set to xyz and the Mobile phone character set set to GSM (GSM default alphabet).

In the SMS Service Detail popup launched by double clicking on Clickatell on the SMS Services page I have Name set to (Internet) Clickatell, Access ID/Nbr set to 111222&user=nwinblad. In the Access Password I have the password that I chose when I signed up with Clickatell. On the Protocol radio buttons I have selected Internet.

My account with clickatell is good. Although I would have thought that I need to enter the Client ID somewhere in INS.

What am I doing wrong.

Neal
