I should have added that I deleted the SMS messages from the Outbox, then shut down all INS components running, then restarted each messaging service required.
Once this was done, several active alarms were immediately paged out successfully, as were several test SMS alarms to myself.
One other question - if the numberofretries setting is reached, what happens then? Is there an error indicating the maximum number of retries has been reached; does the system require an error acknowledgement if this occurs to start trying to send again?
