It took some digging but found the issue.
The Novell Groupwise registry key in Windows Messaging subsystem wasn't updating ... Groupwise kept starting off the old registry
Had to delete the registry key, uninstall Groupwise and then reinstall.
Thought I'd post in case other users run into similar issues with Novell
