>FAX Sending- Format layout

Hi John

There are several options to create a customized fax sheet.

If you use SendMessage to send the fax, here you can add a static fax cover by using /Cover "File"
, or you can specify this cover as part of the contact details.
The cover can be created with your graphic elements (ie Logo) from withing MsgCenter, by converting a graphic file (IE BMP). It will then precede the actual message.

If you want to create a fax cover with elements from the fax and your message mixed, then you can include the following tags in your fax message to create a customized fax sheet:

Tag Description
$D today's date in MM/DD/YY format, always 8 characters
$I station ID, variable length
$N total number of pages, variable length
$P current page number, variable length
$R Recipient's name, variable length
$F Sender's name, variable length
$T current time in HH:MMpm format, always 7 characters

The resulting FAX will however be text only.

Alternatively you may use the Print2Fax feature and create your cover/message together on the fly in a word processor, printing this to our APFFaxPrinter.

As for the recommendation of an external FAX application there are not many fax applications left, so I cannot give you any hint.
