Delay before voice message is played

I’m evaluating MSCS (ver 5.5.4, with a voice modem) for use as an alarm dialler with Citect. I’m using Send Message utility to pass the contact name and alarm message to MSCS. The messages are to be delivered as voices messages.

There is about a 12 second delay between when the phone rings and when the message is played, independent of when the phone is answered. Can this delay be reduced? Can MSCS detect the voice of the recipient and then play then message? ie immediately after the person says hello. If so, how is this done? I’ve read on your forum that detection of when the phone is answered can only be done with a voice board, but we’d prefer to stay with a voice modem if possible.

Do you know of any good sources of wave files to suit MSCS, so that you don’t have to record your own? ie single words, preferably without an American accent!

Can the TTS engine (text to speech) be used for simply playing voice messages? If so, how? It appears it can only be used with the script functional cell Speak String. I see in the Contacts, the Script File Before option, but how do you pass the alarm message into the String To Say field of the Speak String cell? Or don’t you need to?

I’ve been getting the following errors quite often and also occasional a message box that says “MsgServer.exe There has been an unexpected error. Please contact MAW support”. How can these errors be resolved?
