There is about a 12 second delay between when the phone rings and when the message is played, independent of when the phone is answered.
<<<

There should not be 12s but only 3-5s.

>>>
Can this delay be reduced? Can MSCS detect the voice of the recipient and then play then message? ie immediately after the person says hello.
<<<

Answer detection is not supported with a voice modem.

Is not possible :-(

Do you know of any good sources of wave files to suit MSCS, so that you don’t have to record your own? ie single words, preferably without an American accent!
<<<

Especially with voice modems we recommend to record the files yourselves, as the quality is rather poor. So you may need to adapt the message to make it more understandable.

>>>
Can the TTS engine (text to speech) be used for simply playing voice messages?
<<<

No. You may send a script as message instead, but then you would need to import the alarm message into the script (Reading it from a text file, or directly from Citect).

[Generic INI file write error] Database corrupt

How can these errors be resolved?
<<<

It looks as if your messages.db and errors.db files got corrupted during your tests. Just delete those and restart the application.
