can't connect to cell phone using SMS-It

When I try to send a test message the call fails.

The terminal reports the following error message:

"There is no compatible mobile phone connected to the COM port"

According to my system information using Windows XP I have a Motorola modem (a V3 gsm) connected to Port 4 at 192610 baud rate.

Using Hyper Terminal I can successfully send an AT command and I get the "OK" reply.

Also, I have tested the connection using another SMS software program and sent sms messages successfully.

In the System Setting of SMS-It I have selected both "Motorola USB Modem" and "Direct to COM4" with the same results.
