I have used portmon.exe to examine what happens when the 'Test'button is pressed. It appears a variety of AT commands are issued at 9600bps all of which are replied to succesfully by the WaveCom GSM modem. However the Mawnet program then decides to change the rate to 1200bps for some unknown reason, the Wavecom fails to reply at this setting and thus the 'Test' button fails. Is there any way to tell Mawnet only to use 9600bps?

Below I have pasted the portmon log for a portion of the 1200bps section.
