Ian,

Thank you for your interest in our product.
It is true that a lot of the UK listed numbers have sometimes problems, but
all of them should be up to date and work.
The one most UK users use and are happy with is the
UK,One-2-One(1),TAP
entry.
None of the entries needs a PW.
Those numbers may obviously change. As soon as we are made aware of those
changes we update our software, hence they all should be quite up to date.

This depends on your modem. If you get busy tone or recorded messages, this
may point to the fact the your modem has troubles with the '-'. To make sure
try to dial the number first though the normal phone and check if you get
the carrier (high pitch). Then try to dial through MSCS. If there is a
problem with the '-' just replace them in the "Access Nbr" field.

>7: for sending SMS's can I simply switch from XIO to UDP or will some of
the
other settings need changing?

No. The SMSC are configured for one or the other, hence you must use those
pre-configured settings. None of the UK SMSC supports UCP, therefore none of
them can be used to send pictures and/or ringtones. If you want to send also
those you need to either send the SMS though an attached mobile phone or
through the internet.

If you continue to have problems with the SMS sending please send us the
session.log file (found under c:\msgserver) and we have a close look.

Sincerely,

Marc Wanderer
