Is there a reason why you do not send the SMS directly through the P800? (vs using it as modem and dialing to a dial-up).
Just use the driver for the P800 as entry under "The modem is connected to..." and select "Direct link" under "Send SMS through..."
Nevertheless it should also work when using it as modem. Sometimes however the modem driver has some problems, hence you may try to configure it as "Standad modem 2400" in Windows, and the use this driver as modem.
